We’re not ‘tech for good’, we’re good tech for organisations changing systems
Passionate about building affordable technology, creating capacity and digital stewardship, we partner with organisations tackling climate change, social inequality and economic injustice.
what we do
Committed to cooperative innovation and governed by an equitable business model, we build the connected products and services that are shaping a better future.
People & planet won’t wait
You need outcomes - social and environmental justice won’t wait and neither should you. We can deliver a prototype or piece of design thinking in weeks. A proof of concept de-risks your investment, a report does not. We bring your ideas to life and accelerate your impact.
Leaders in impact & digital innovation
Our team combines a deep understanding of the social, environmental and economic impact sector with proven global technology delivery experience. We’re the purpose-led technical co-founder you’ve been looking for.
Startup savvy & accessible
We’re used to working with entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, ventures and impact organisations. We respect founders and the communities they serve and will be curious and approachable as we tackle problems with you.
Digital innovation doesn’t need to be expensive. We’re transparent and commercially creative. A social business ourselves, Impact Edit shares your values and we get why you do what you do - because we’re doing it too!
Conscious capitalism needs a movement of tech leaders who combine digital talent with an understanding of social and environmental justice contexts. We convene our clients, partners and people to build a pipeline of future tech talent for impact.
our commitment to
Impact through technology, owned by our community. We have ambitions to become a Cooperative in 2021 - a social enterprise owned by our workers and partner members.
We’re committed to building a pipeline of future tech talent for the new economy from the next generation of digitally native conscious capitalists, who care about problems not profit.
Power through partnerships. We’ll work alongside you and bring in our community - from No Code experts to civil society tech strategy gurus - to build capacity within your organisation.
We’ve sat as co-pilot with impact startups, innovation think tanks and charities.
A digital platform to build financial resilience
Covid hit Fair Finance clients hard, with the number of people seeking debt advice increasing by over 1 million in 2020 alone. We worked with them to build a free Online Advice Tool to help people figure out what kind of financial support they need and where to get it, sign-posting them to personalised, local services depending on their needs, from food banks to citizen advice.
Website redesign for a land justice organisation
We worked with Shared Assets to redesign their logo, brand assets and their entire website. Prioritising accessibility and a clear navigation for different audiences - from local authorities to land activists - we designed and built a striking and powerful new site that inspires collective action for a new future of land in the UK.
Creating a digital justice framework
Working with the Adolescent Mental Health team, we ran a strategy sprint to design a digital justice framework that would enable teams to make equitable, sustainable decisions about partnering with and funding health innovations, that consider online harms, data consent and design justice.
"Impact Edit worked with us to design and develop a digital justice framework for our Adolescent Mental Health Programme. As well as bringing their expertise in technology and data ethics, they really listened to our team and the approach felt collaborative from the start. We now have a practical tool that enables us to consider digital justice as part of our funding decisions."
Impact on Urban Health
"Impact Edit worked with Shared Assets to refresh our visual identity and branding, and to redesign our website. They were creative, communicative and really easy to work with throughout the whole process, and we are really pleased with the end results!"
